Are you a First Time Brazilian Waxer?

I am here to explain all the details about the “Dreaded Brazilian Wax” It’s really not as bad as you might think. You just need to know a few things and I promise, after you have it done, the memory will be just like having a baby–you’ll forget what it was like.

I use azulene wax. Azulene is an essential oil derived from German chamomile. It is an excellent anti-inflammatory, analgesic and detoxifier. Extremely calming and soothing to the skin. It makes the waxing experience about 70% less painful then other resin wax used in most places

If you shave, you will need to grow your hair out for about two weeks. If the hair is too long, the wax will not come off easily. It needs to be about half an inch to an inch long. If it’s any shorter, the hairs will break and grow back quickly, rather then six weeks which would be the result you are looking for.

Now, the most important part of the process: Who ever you chose to go to for your wax, make sure they never DOUBLE DIP the wax sticks. Each stick should be throw away each time it is dipped into the wax. Double dipping causes bacteria to grow in the wax which cause STD’s and other bacteria infections. The second important part are GLOVES. I know from experience, to get every hair, I need to get into every nook and cranny, so GLOVES are an absolute must.

When you’re choosing the person who will be doing this specific wax. Please (and I can’t stress this enough) chose someone who is VERY EXPERIENCED. The Brazilian waxing is not just any wax, it’s very specific. We must be fast, sanitary, and very knowledgeable in terms of knowing which way the hair grows. The last thing you want, is to be laying there for 45 minutes with someone inexperienced! OUCH!!! ;) 10-15 minutes is all it should take.

I hope I have dispelled any fears or myths regarding Brazilian waxing. The wonderful result you get will be like baby skin–soft and clean from front to back!

Warm Regards,

Ricki Criswell L.E.
