She began her career in 1989 working for plastic surgeons and dermatologists. Ricki prides herself on staying up to date on the latest advancements in skin care.
That is very important to her as she she understands how much skin problems can affect one’s life since she also battled with problem skin most of her life.
As a teenager she spent many years seeking help from dermatologists, and although they were able to suppress the most serious problems with antibiotics, her skin was never cleared completely. Through the years she continued to be frustrated with her battle with acne until she decided to finally take the problem in her own hands.
She became an esthetician to gain knowledge of more homeopathic ways to clear her own acne and other skin problems.
She began having glycolic acid parties at her home and began helping her friends one by one to healthier skin.
“I found that using 40% glycolic acid in conjunction with other practices actually helped to digest bacteria and dead surface cells which in turn promotes new healthy skin. Also she found that the break outs become less and less, when done in a series.
Ricki worked in full service salons until 1999, when she decided to go on her own and open Ricki’s Skin Care and waxing studio in the Los Angeles area. Though she still continues to do glycolic treatments, “I also believe in and have had success with microdermabrasion and pure oxygen mixed with powerful antioxidants vitamin A, E and C.
